Down to Earth in lovely Perth

G'day Ya b@st@rds,
Hope you're havin fun?
Obviously not if you want to torture yourself with yet another blog post.

Little bit of small print now.
Due to internet inavalability - This blog although posted on 16 Sept 2009 was penned on the 10th Sept 2009.

We are in Perth and it ain't half nice. It's fully nice.
Got in at 6:00 in the am after a cattle class flight. Now I know what the duracell battery chicken feels like after a sh!t flight. Have a look for yourselves.

Pre Boarding

Boarded Yay.

On Landing

The horror, the horror, horror.
We were so tired that we decided the easiest option was to get a taxi and while Alice was admiring the views of swan river Gareth was glaring at the meter.  Mr taxi man started pressing buttons and the fare jumped!!!
So I did what any normal British person would do and said.... "Alice did you see that?" She said no, so I left it! 48 aus dollars later we arrived at Angharad's Dad's / John's house and went promptly to bed.
Upon our jet lagged awake we inspected this lush pad we had some how wormed our way into. A backpackers paradise. Had lovely warm showers and suited and booted ourselves for a trip into Perth by walking along the river, through King's park. See pics of us doing just that, what I have just said, then.

Next Day is the 09/11/2009
Which is a special day in Alice and Gareth's lives.
As it is three years ago to the day that Alice asked Gareth out!
To celebrate one of Gareth's proudest moments and one of Alice's maddest moments.
Gareth bought Alice a .... Camping stove. (Alice: Trianga, just like yours M & D)
For dinner we had beef stroganoff pastries, chips and a bottle of wine. Then Alice proceeded to cry at the film Becoming Jane, while Gareth read one of Johns Cosmos magazines.
Next day just hung out in Perth, did the tourist thing. Brilliant city ten on ten.
We are off to Rottnest tomorrow. V. V. excited. However, we are worried that the ferry might be canceled cause the weather is awful.
You will find out what happened in our next chapter of the travels of Alice and Gareth in Australia.
Blog off. xxx
